Calvary Baptist is working toward reestablishing the unity which is Christ's clear direction. No born-again Bible student fails to see that Christ directed that His Church manifest unity. He also directs purity of doctrine and practice, and that is where the problem has been. Most efforts at church unity have compromised doctrine in order to be able to include as many people and groups as possible. That is not what the Bible teaches. Calvary is cooperating with other Baptist churches on the Mendocino coast to present a right image of church unity.
Therefore, these churches meet together Sunday evenings. In January we meet at Bethel Baptist on Highway 20. In February we meet at Calvary Baptist. In March we meet at First Baptist at Pine and Franklin. In April we return to Bethel Baptist, etc. Thus, the 6:00 p.m. worship service is at Calvary only four months of the year, February, May, August and November. In January, April, July and October we meet at Bethel Baptist. In March, June, September and December we meet at First Baptist. |
